For our client, we are looking for SKILLED BUTCHERS to join the team in Outokumpu in Finland for the spring season!

The work is very physical and routine, so we are looking for applicants with experience in similar roles and good physical condition. You will work independently on the production line as part of a team, processing beef. It is a full time work from Monday to Friday, between 6-14, 40h/week.

The employment contract starts from April 2024 and will last until till the end of September/October 2025.


Job description:

As a butcher, you ideally know all stages of butchering from skinning to post-cleaning of the carcass. You will be working mainly in the skinning stages of the carcass (hind legs, front legs, abdominal area, and neck skinning). However, you will also work in various other stages of hide removal, head washing, esophagus tying, gutting, and splitting the carcass with a saw. Animal slaughter is not part of the job. It is important to be fast enough. The worker must keep up with the line speed.

We expect the employee to have:

  • Fluent in English or Polish language
  • Previous experience in similar work
  • Experience with proceeding beef meat is a MUST
  • Knife handling skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Finnish hygiene pass - willing to obtain one
