Join the dynamic team in Juustoportti Oy as a Process Operator for Ultra-High Temperature (UHT) processing in the dairy industry. Work in a Finnish award-winning family-owned company with over 30 years of tradition and with over 300 employees.


This role is ideal for candidates with previous technical expertise in the food industry, who are passionate about optimizing production processes and ensuring the highest standards of product quality.


As a process operator, you manage the dairy's packaging processes with products from the milk or UHT department. In operational packaging work, together with your team, you are responsible for the smooth implementation and scheduling of production. The versatile work of a process operator includes, in addition to packaging, production preparatory work and ensuring the adequacy of packaging materials, as well as self-monitoring tasks guided by the quality system, such as sensory evaluations of product quality, jar bottom tests, weighing, and related records. A modern dairy factory Juustoportti contains a lot of automation, which we control using different systems. Process operators work in an uninterrupted 3-shift.


Key tasks:

  • Product packaging tasks and cooperation with other departments such as product development, and maintenance staff to ensure seamless operations and continuous improvement.

  • Oversee the UHT processing equipment to ensure optimal performance and product quality. Continuously monitor temperature, pressure, and flow rates.

  • Smooth implementation of production processes together with the team.

  • Conduct routine checks and tests to maintain product quality and compliance with industry standards. Identify and report any deviations from quality specifications.

  • Diagnose and resolve operational issues quickly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.

  • Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of UHT equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.

  • Taking care of product safety and occupational safety in accordance with the quality system.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements, including HACCP and GMP guidelines. Participate in safety training and drills.

You are suitable for the position if:

  • You have at least 2 years of experience as a food process operator or a similar technical role within the food industry. Experience with UHT processing is a great advantage!

  • Your educational background supports you for this role. Preferably you have bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, or similar.

  • You work smoothly, and independently, and you are a big team player.

  • You can speak English on the communicative level.

  • You are flexible and can adapt quickly to new situations.

  • You do the work briskly but with an emphasis on quality.

  • You are reliable and have a positive attitude.

  • You have a driving license (It is an advantage but not necessary).

  • You are willing to work in a 3-shift system.

  • You have a Finnish hygiene passport and salmonella certificate (we support you in applying for these).
